As part of the new boiler installations, we will be carrying out water tests at no additional cost. You may be asking why we are offering this and why it's important for you. Here's what you should know:
Why it's important to have a water test
Over time, your central heating system naturally deteriorates and a buildup of sludge and other debris can build up. This is important to note because over time this can lead to a number of consequences including:
- Reducing your central heating system's efficiency. This in turn can easily lead to higher energy bills and of course means it's not as simple and straightforward for your property to fully heat up.
- Reducing your boiler's lifespan: If your boiler has to work harder to generate the same level of heating, this means that it's more likely to break down, which of course leads to inconvenience and costly repair bills. It also means that your boiler is going to serve you for less time before needing to be replaced.
By having your central heating system's water tested, we can find out whether your system needs to be flushed or if it's in good working order. If the water is dirty, we can save you time and any future hassles by tackling the problem before it gets any worse.
Adey ProCheck water test
Traditionally, it hasn't been practical for heating engineers to carry out a lab-style test as we would usually have to wait at least 24 hours before getting the results. However, with our new Adey ProCheck kit we're able to have the results delivered to our smart phone within a matter of minutes.
Please note, we can also offer this service as an optional extra for our boiler servicing, not just as part of our boiler installations.
